Atlanta, GA – Imagine no lines, no hassle and more options as a hungry but busy airport traveler. Atlanta-based Concessions International (CI), one of the largest food and beverage concessionaire in the country, is launching a 5-airport partnership with Grab, the largest U.S. e-commerce platform that enables time-pressed travelers to pre-order from a variety of airport restaurants, saving precious time in reaching their destinations.
This Concessions International-Grab collaboration will expand Grab’s Fast Casual and QSR restaurant repertoire across the Atlanta, Denver, Dallas, DC and Miami airports. The Atlanta operation specifically will include CI-operated Fly Burger Lotta Frutta, Café Tazza, Paschal’s, Fresh 2 Order and Dos Equis – all located in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport’s Concourse B.
The on-demand mobile ordering platform leverages users’ travel information to allow travelers to view menus, place orders, pay and set pick-up times. The Grab app also provides other day-of-travel resources, such as terminal maps and gate-to-gate navigation, reducing user stress and optimizing convenience. These extensive, detailed features and brilliant technology of Grab attracted the CI team.
“We love how the Grab app is focused on providing an airport-wide solution for mobile ordering,” says Basil Banko, VP of IT for Concessions International. “We are looking forward to the Grab partnership as we begin our implementation in Atlanta, Denver, Dallas, DC and Miami.”
CI currently has operations in eight airports nationwide, serving airport passengers with exceptional local, regional and national concepts – all with a focus on a superior guest experience. In Washington, DC, CI-operated units in the Grab app include: American Tap Room, Georgetown Market, Taylor Gourmet, Be right burger, DC Crafts, Bar Symon and Chef Geoff. The Denver airport includes: Sports Bar, Hopes, Wetzel’s Pretzels, New Belgium Hub, Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli, Daz Bog and Chick-fil-a. In Miami, Nathans and Einstein’s, and in Dallas, Einstein’s and Genghis Grill are among the CI restaurants included in the Grab app.
